God’s Faithfulness

God is with us always!

Read that again, until it really hits you.

5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

6 So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6, NIV

He is not off somewhere that we cannot reach Him. He is here with us.

He is the ever-present God.

He loves His creation (us) and He would never ask us to figure things out alone.

Thank about that a minute… what did our lives look like when we were not listening to the Lord?

Do you remember the feelings of being lost?

I do!

I was beyond lost; I was dwelling in darkness. It was lonely and I felt as though it was where I belonged and where I deserved to be.

I remember when the Lord got my attention again. I heard Him say, “I am right here, with you.”

At first it scared me, kind of like when Adam and Eve were scare to face the Lord… but there He was, the ever-faithful God who I turned away from for almost 25 years.

He met me right where I was.

And He will meet you there too!

23 Yet I am always with you;you hold me by my right hand.

24 You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory.

25 Whom have I in heaven but you?And earth has nothing I desire besides you.

26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heartand my portion forever.

Psalm 73:23-26, NIV

Since it is God’s desire that all are saved, He has allowed our souls to be the dwelling place of His Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit lives inside of us!

I know, here we go again, read that until it really hits you.

16 Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, ESV

Quite often, I like to use two or more translations to really make this point…

16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, NIV

We must remember that we are God’s temple. Here to encourage as many people as we can before He calls us home.

When people knock us down, we must know that He will help us up and we can continue along His glorious path.

Our bodies (really our spirits) hold the Holy Spirit inside of them.

Since we are His temple, we should treat people with love and kindness and encourage them to get to know their Father in heaven also.
