A Little Bit About This Book
Alrighty then… this subject is dear to my heart because it is so difficult to get through life without encouraging words. The Bible is full of encouragement. I try to live by the Bible and hope that my words will encourage your hearts today and always.
There were times in my life when this type of book would have helped me to make better choices. My values had slipped for almost 25 years and there are many things that I would have done differently had I read this book.
However, I thank the Lord for everything I had to go through so that He could use me to write ETC. I am humbled and honored that you have been reading my work.
I have prayed over this book so that it touches every reader’s heart. It has been a blessing and an honor to be a part of what God is doing currently. We all have things we are struggling with and I hope this book will help get us through these struggles with His joy in our hearts.
Our lives do not end here. As a matter of fact, this is just the beginning. He is doing a mighty work in so many people’s lives and this book is just one of the avenues for His word to get out to as many people as possible. Please join me, not only in reading this book, but in eternity with our Father God.
Eternity with God 😀
We are ALL going to spend eternity with God our Father, if we have faith that Jesus died for our sins.
Jesus has set down next to Him and advocates for our hearts daily. His desire is that all people are saved. According to Paul it pleases God that all would be saved…
1 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:1-4, NIV
Jesus has given us His Spirit for guidance and comfort. We are to remember that we are not alone. He is with us always, through His Holy Spirit.
God’s Word is our guidance manual, and the Holy Spirit reveals Him to us when we read the Bible. Encouragement takes Courage was written to help share His encouraging words with as many people as possible.
The Holy Spirit is our Guide while we are here and encourages us with God’s Holy WORD. Encouraging others is biblical and even Jesus was an encourager.
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[a] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.
26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
John 14:15-19, 26-27, NIV
We have an Advocate, and He brings our prayers to the Father. He teaches us how to receive God’s Word and apply it to our lives. It is my prayer that ETC will help you to find the guidance of the Holy Spirit and seek Him first in all that you do and say.
I have enjoyed writing for many years. However, I finally took the leap of faith into fulltime writing. It has been on my heart for many years and through this current pandemic, God finally got my full attention.
It’s funny how we still ignore Him at times. We know that He is right here for us but chose to ‘do our own thing!’ I don’t know about anyone else, but ‘my own thing’ usually falls short of His glorious ‘thing.’
5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7 With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Isaiah 6:5-8, NIV
Man, how I wish that I heeded His calling long ago… but, here I am (finally) saying “send me.” It is wonderful to find time to sit and pray, meditate (listen), and take His advice and apply it to my life.
God is good all the time… I am not. However, through Christ’s sacrifice, we can approach God and ask His forgiveness. This is so exciting!
It Is with God’s Encouraging Words that I Present Encouragement Takes Courage
God has always given us His courage to share His love with the rest of the world. It is time to heed His calling on us and say, “here I am, send me.”
What an honor to be able to take heed to God’s calling on our lives. He has shown us, through His Son, how to serve others and encourage them to find a loving relationship with Him.
This is the launching of Encouragement Takes Courage and I hope to read what you love and what you didn’t love about the book. Please take a moment and purchase this book here.
I hope that God encourages each of you today, and every day.
Blessings and honor,
